At this moment, two severe storms in the terrestrial hydrosphere are only registered. They are, the Hurricane Category 2 Jimena in the Eastern Pacific Ocean and the Tropical Storm Erika, in the North Atlantic Ocean.
Jimena, fluctuated from the maximum category of 5, with winds maintained of 250 km/h, but it went losing force when approaching earth, and lowered recently to category 1, with maintained winds approximated of 140 km/h.
The Jimena hurricane, with high degree of danger, touched to east earth Wednesday in the peninsula of South Baja California, in the coast of the Mexican Pacific, bringing about damages in houses and floods.
Jimena touched to earth like hurricane category 2 in the Saffir-Simpson scale, and shortly after it was degraded to category 1.
The northeastern semicircle, that concentrates the greater power of Jimena, affects to the Peninsula its power yet.
The thickness of the hurricane would continue bordering the coast of Baja California, that has a set of islands little inhabited, that already were in alert, before going into definitively in earth, where delay loses force in relative just a short time.
The Tropical Storm Erika, tends to degrade itself quickly, happening shortly to the Category of Tropical Depression, to disappear quickly.
But, as much the Hurricane Category 1 Jimena, like the Tropical Storm Erika, is a box of surprises, as they are it all the Severe Storms. For this reason, the precautions must be carried far, until both phenomena are missing person, disappearing in the anything.
This it is an article written in its totality, by the Research Center Transenerclima, taking as it bases, the World - wide Situation map of Severe Storms, consulted by courtesy of Weather Underground. Thanks for the visit. It always returns. It will be welcome. Its qualification is a aid. Until another “Transenerclima Moment”.
